Ama Boakye is a 20-year-old visual arts student from Ghana, currently studying at KNUST – College of Art. Growing up in Kumasi, a city known for its rich cultural heritage, Ama found her love for art through community murals and storytelling traditions.
At KNUST, she is developing her skills in painting and mixed media, often drawing inspiration from everyday life in Ghana, especially women’s roles in family and society. Her work blends vibrant color with quiet emotional depth, reflecting both personal memories and broader cultural themes.
Ama hopes to use her art as a way to tell stories that are often overlooked — celebrating identity, resilience, and the power of tradition in modern life.
